Storm sewer design is tied to the roadway geometry, so that recovery from roadway alignment changes (vertical and/or horizontal) takes seconds instead of hours if performed manually. Plans are drawn automatically from information stored in the storm sewer database. Any changes in the storm sewer (i.e., pipe size, length, inlet type, elevations, etc.) will automatically appear the next time you draw the plan view, profile or cross-section. Creates a better design Because ASAD lets the user change the storm sewer configuration quickly, the user can try numerous "what-if" scenarios to optimizer for cost, hydraulics, outfall locations, inlet spacing, or any combination of these. Increases Accuracy & Provides Consistent Results ASAD creates structure numbering, as well as structure and pipe quantities and descriptions that are consistent throughout the project including: Hydraulic calculations & reports, CAD-drawn construction plans and annotation (plan, profile, and cross-section views), and Quantity tabulations and cost estimates. Meets Department of Transportation Design Standards ASAD uses standard state DOT-defined drainage structures (inlets/manholes/ditch bottom inlets) for both hydraulic analysis and CAD drafting. The user also can create other non-standard structures as needed.
